CareFRESH Critter College: National/State Standards Correlation

The curriculum correlates with national standards as well as standards established by many states for science, math and language arts.

Science

  • National Content Standard A: Science as Inquiry — Performing scientific inquiry regarding the health and safety of small pets
  • National Content Standard C: Life Science — Learning the common characteristics of small animals (rodents), how small animals interact with humans and other animals, how to tell when pets are sick, and how pets adapt to conditions in their habitats
